Don’t look for Megan Fox in Angelina Jolie’s hotpants. Playing Lara Croft, we mean. The 22-year-old tattooed Transformers star has been mentioned a lot recently — albeit by unnamed online sources — as a potential candidate for a reboot of the Tomb Raider series a la Batman Begins and Star Trek. Goodbye, Jolie. Hello, Fox?
“Not true,” Fox says. “That comes from people who need to write things so people will go to their blogs. I’m not replacing Angelina Jolie. I’m not replacing anyone.”
Instead, she’s focusing on June’s big-budget sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, in which she’s back as Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend.
“I don’t know if I can carry an action franchise. Right now I don’t even know if anyone will come to see me in a little independent movie.”
